Chocolate and orange have an old partnership in candy and cake. The zest carries most of the orange flavor, and a splash of juice adds sweetness. Use a fine grater and avoid the bitter white pith.

- 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder (about 30 g)
- ¾ cup 2% milk
- ¼ cup orange juice
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- ½ medium frozen banana
- 3 ice cubes
Method
- Zest an orange with a fine grater and set aside a pinch for the top.
- Add the milk, orange juice, protein powder, cocoa, zest, and banana to the blender.
- Add the ice and blend until smooth, about 45 seconds.
- Top with the reserved zest.
