Candy Cane Protein Shake

A pale pink peppermint milkshake with vanilla protein and banana.

Candy Cane Protein Shake

This is a lighter, vanilla-based take on peppermint. A frozen banana keeps the shake thick and sweet, and peppermint extract gives the candy cane flavor. A few drops of red food coloring are optional and make the shake pink.

Ingredients

Makes 1 serving.

  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (about 30 g)
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 1 medium frozen banana
  • ¼ tsp peppermint extract
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ice cubes

Method

  1. Add the milk, protein powder, banana, vanilla, and ice to the blender.
  2. Add the peppermint extract.
  3. Blend until smooth, about 40 seconds.
  4. Top with whipped cream and crushed candy cane, if you like.
