Peppermint extract is very strong, and a few drops go a long way. With chocolate protein and strong coffee, it makes a drink close to a peppermint mocha from a coffee shop. A crushed candy cane on top looks the part.
Ingredients
Makes 1 serving.
- 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder (about 30 g)
- ¾ cup strong brewed coffee, chilled
- ½ cup 2% milk
- ½ tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp peppermint extract
- 5 ice cubes
Method
- Chill the coffee first, or use cold brew.
- Add the coffee, milk, protein powder, and cocoa to the blender.
- Add the peppermint extract and ice.
- Blend until frothy, about 40 seconds. Taste before adding more extract.
