Tiramisu is coffee, cream, and cocoa. Reduced-fat cream cheese stands in for mascarpone, espresso replaces the soaked ladyfingers, and cocoa dusts the top. The result is thick, so serve it in a short glass with a spoon.
Ingredients
Makes 1 serving.
- 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (about 30 g)
- 2 tbsp reduced-fat cream cheese
- ¼ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
- ½ cup 2% milk
- 2 shots espresso
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 3 ice cubes
Method
- Add the cream cheese, yogurt, and milk to the blender and blend for 20 seconds until the cream cheese is smooth.
- Add the protein powder, espresso, vanilla, and ice.
- Blend until thick and creamy, about 40 seconds.
- Pour into a glass and dust the top with cocoa.

Tips
- Soften the cream cheese first. Cold cream cheese leaves lumps.
- A few drops of rum extract add the boozy flavor of traditional tiramisu.
Swaps and variations
- Use a crushed vanilla wafer or ladyfinger on top.
- Use decaf espresso for an evening version.
