Cranberries are very tart, so they need balance. Orange juice and a bit of honey do that here, and vanilla yogurt softens the edges. The color is a deep festive red.
Ingredients
Makes 1 serving.
- 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (about 30 g)
- ¼ cup vanilla nonfat Greek yogurt
- ½ cup frozen cranberries
- 1 medium orange, peeled
- ¼ cup orange juice
- ½ cup 2% milk
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 ice cubes
Method
- Peel the orange and break it into segments, removing any seeds.
- Add the milk, juice, yogurt, and protein powder to the blender.
- Add the cranberries, orange, honey, and ice.
- Blend for a full minute, then taste. Add more honey if it is too sharp.
