Pear Ginger Protein Shake

A mellow, lightly spiced shake with a floral sweetness from ripe pear.

Pear Ginger Protein Shake

Pears blend to a smooth, almost creamy texture with no seeds to strain. Fresh ginger adds warmth. Use a very ripe pear, soft near the stem, for the best sweetness.

Ingredients

Makes 1 serving.

  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (about 30 g)
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 medium ripe pear
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 ice cubes

Method

  1. Core the pear and chop it roughly. Leave the skin on.
  2. Add the almond milk, protein powder, pear, ginger, and cinnamon to the blender.
  3. Add the ice and blend for 45 seconds.
  4. Taste and add more ginger if you want a sharper kick.
